General comment This dataset represents the recycling process that recovers recycled flat glass from waste photovoltaic panels through a laminated glass separation technology. The functional unit is 1 kg of recycled flat glass recovered from waste photovoltaic panels. The data are based on industry data which have state-of-the-art technology and thus accurately represent the actual conditions of waste photovoltaic panel end-of-life (EoL) processing. The foreground data have been combined with LCI models integrating Ecoinvent v3.11 and openLCA for energy supply systems, ancillary processes, and materials as background data. Therefore, the dataset covers all relevant process steps and technologies over the supply chain of the represented "cradle-to-gate" inventory. An independent expert group in South Korea has critically reviewed the entire LCI data profile, including data consolidation, development of various LCI models, and the calculation of the associated LCI datasets. |
